How to sew a drawstring project bag

What you need
Two 12 x 15 in fabric pieces, cord, sewing machine. Keep a ruler, scissors, and scrap material nearby. Use all equipment according to its manufacturer instructions.
Make it step by step
- Cut two 12 x 15 in woven fabric rectangles; mark 2 in below the top on each side.
- With right sides together, sew from each side mark down and around the bottom using a 1/2 in seam allowance.
- Press the top down 1/2 in and again 1 in to form a casing. Stitch, leaving the side openings accessible.
- Thread one cord all the way around from each opening; knot ends and turn right side out.
Check your work
Look for even tension, secure thread ends, and clean edges. If the sample puckers or pulls out of shape, loosen the tension and test on scrap before continuing.
